David’s Construction Predictions for 2009

David predicts that new construction for 2009 will be steady although slightly down from last year. The reason for the steadiness is that the money was allotted for these projects in 2007 & 2008. New construction for 2010 will drop off dramatically because there is simply no funding available at this time.

He predicts that the remodeling industry will be very bleak for 2009. The reason? No money readily available for these projects. He predicts that the remodeling industry will bounce back in 2010 though.

The GC’s, remodeling companies and subcontractors that can hang on in these times of recession will tremendously prosper when the economy turns around!
